Calibrating 9 points major problems
My i3 mk2 started to hit the bed about a week ago.... i thought it was the pinda probe not being low enough and so I got my tools and moved the pinda probe down to just above the point where it becomes too close to the print.
Tonight the printer had a major blowout. I printed 4 of the exact same prints and then was going to print another object and the print head started to make contact with the print bed again and failing to pass pre print calibration. So I decided to re run the xyz calibration and the print head started to do its movements and so I got back on my modelling program. I had a piece of paper between the print head and the bed. After around 5 minutes I noticed the paper moving back and fourth. Then the printer started to move further into the print bed and then grinding hard. This all occured in about 10 seconds. Anyways now I got damage to my print bed, seems to be on the top PEI sheet. I won't know forsure the damage until I peel off the PEI sheet. YAY
Now what?

I ran z axis calibration, captured that with my phone and sent that to Youtube. The video shows pre print calibration failure on 8th calibration point. The print head makes contact with the print bed and presses firmly into it. You can see the damage to the PEI sheet on the center right of the bed from the previous xyz calibration.

I am not an expert as I just got my printer about two weeks ago but I noticed in your video that the PINDA is quite a bit higher than the extruder tip. I would lower it down to almost even with the tip and make adjustments with the live Z calibration to get it just right.

Did you get the factory built or kit?
- If kit, print the pinda probe guide from thingiverse

Before running the pre-heat, move the print head so that z=100
- pinda gets bad readings if it heats
Did anything hit the pinda during printing
- Make sure it is not bent
If not a factory built, please post photos of you print head with pinda showing.
You may consider putting down blue painter tape, only the 3M brand, until this issue is resolved. The last thing you want is to have to get a new print bed or PEI sheet. Maybe just tape a piece of copy paper on top of the bed.

I think im going to install latest firmware and factory reset the printer tonight when i get home

the probe has been lower and the probe was getting very close to the print. i thought it would run into the print if i had a print failure... I'll try lowering it again to see if it'll pass.
Did you get the factory built or kit?
It is the kit so no warranty as far as i can tell. the screen said congratulations something somthing perpendicular after i was done. I built it on jan 8 and have put through 2 rolls of 1kg filament already. just a week ago this problem has started.

by default the printer parks itself close to the bed after a print. I'll get out my infared meter to see how hot it gets at default parking distance and try it well above the bed.

- Make sure it is not bent
probably have had some contact with the pinda on some occasions im sure. there are no scratches on the tip though.

- You may want to modify your slic3R or print manager to automatically raise the print head after the print is complete or if the job is cancel.
- Also, search the forum for issues regarding the pinda getting to warm, but maybe just give it a try.
- It does not matter if the pinda got scratched... it is important that is straight and the holder did not get warped.

FIXED
The nozzle at the end of the print head was unscrewing itself. Im sure the nozzle got wrenched on during the build process. A recommended torque value could help.
The printer moving downwards and trying to force itself into position while the nozzle was pressing itself against the print bed and eventually the belts slipping and z axis motors maxing out seems like something that could be corrected through a firmware update.
Let me see...
xyz calibration start
preheat user selects filament type
display "remove filament from print head"
"filament removed?" yes/no...
user rotate thumb dial... user presses thumb dial... "is z axis at top?" yes/no...
"is print bed clean" yes/no...
"is print nozzle clean" yes/no...
move down z axis predetermined distance... complete
move end stop x axis... x axis end stop triggered... complete
move to y axis end stop... y axis end stop triggered... complete
x/y axis movement routine over sensor 1 until pinda sensor signal is high... complete
center x/y over highest signal strength from sensor 1... complete
move z axis down ~2 mm... is signal strength greater than prior reading...
yes = move to sensor 2 ...
no = move z axis up 100mm and display "check for debris or loose nozzle then restart xyz calibration."
Im assuming now with the print nozzle becoming loose that the print head gets same signal when it moves down in z direction and so it tries to move down in the z direction to get a stronger signal... and repeat and repeat
