Best Lubricant for MK2S Bearings
I am trying to find the cheapest/best lubricants for the MK2S's linear bearings. Would either of these two lubricants ( https://goo.gl/w33V4d https://goo.gl/rQcVkp ) be insufficient, and if both are ok, which one would you recommend? I am also open to suggestions that I have not listed. Thank you!
Re: Best Lubricant for MK2S Bearings
I think you'll be good with using an ordinary machine oil. In any case, the rods should be only slightly coated with oil, so don't over do it.
If you want to avoid oil in the future, you could replace the bearings with plastic ones that have lubricant ingrained and you never have to worry about it.

I read somewhere that you have to use a synthetic machine oil or it can corrode the bearings and/or rods. I also hear that you are not supposed to mix oil and grease lubricants and that the Prusa i3 MK2 uses oil. However grease lasts longer so I would prefer to use it.

SAE10W40 does the job.
