Bed Thermal Runaway
See attached photos of the attachment of the heat bed thermistor. I'm getting the error of 'bed thermal runaway' when I print with ABS.
The thermistor looks attached to me. I haven't touched the tape.
Any comments on what be wrong with the thermistor?
Re: Bed Thermal Runaway
Bed thermal runaway occurs when the heating effort exceeds the ammount expected to be needed to keep the temperature rising towards the target temperature.
This happened to me with pla and a small model. 100% cooling was causing too much heat loss.. and resulting in runaway.
Are you using the part fan?
If so. That could be the cause.
Is your room cool?.
Again this could be the problem...

Re: Bed Thermal Runaway
I'm not experiencing any temperature problems with PLA. I have the part fan turned off and my printer is in my dining room, it's not cool. Usually in the mid 70's f when printing.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Re: Bed Thermal Runaway
If your print is a small one try moving it to the outer areas of the bed
Re: Bed Thermal Runaway
Same problem.
Can't try to move it to the outside, as I can't get to that step in the process.
Re: Bed Thermal Runaway
Did some quick searching on this given I had a similar problem I thought I'd post here with the solution... Go into Slic3r Prusa Edition and took at a look at the profile for the ABS material you're using. Ensure the following settings are in place to avoid this problem:
Filament Settings -> Cooling
- Disable (uncheck) "Keep fan always on"
- Disable (uncheck) "Enable auto cooling"
- Set "Bridges fan speed" to 30%
