Bed level correction not sufficient

Hey guys,

I just wonder what to do if I cannot get the bed ballanced enought with this tool.

The printer tells me, that I build it perfectly fine, so I have no clue what to change about that.

The case is, that the nozzle is still way to close to the bed in the rear while in the fron it is too far away even though I set +50 (rear) and -50 (front) for the bed level correction.

Any sugguestions?

Thanks a lot in advance!

André

Maybe put a washer under the bed at the low end? Or something thiner like a piece of paper (about 0.1mm). Or make sure your axes are square?

The G80 command in the start G-code allows adjustment up to 101 microns:

G80 Lnn Rnn Fnn Bnn ; where nn is the value in microns from -101 to 101

Alternatively you could have a look at Hyperfine Bed Levelling thread which allows up to 201 micron adjustments.

Hey guys,

Thank you for the quick replies!

I just used some of the spare washers and could easily fix the issue on the first attempt. Thanks a lot!!
Basically I choose this option since I belive Prusa had some in mind when they decided only to allow correcting the bed max. 50µ. On top of this, it was rather easy to install the additional washers and I didn't had to get and codes.

Thanks again! 😀
