Bearing/Rod Maintenance
Anyone have any tips for the bearing and rod maintenance? Do they need to be oiled, and if so, what is the recommended type? I see a mild amount of dust buildup on the rods where the bearing stop on all ends. Don't have pets or anything so just standard just.
Also, what other maintenance tips are there? I do cold pulls when switching filaments as a standard.

With respect to the bearings / rods. Keep them clean & dustfree (well, as best you can).
With respect to oiling, use a light oil, like sewing machine oil. Stay away from WD40.
Others prefer grease, as in lithium or silicon grease.
I once got told: smooth rods get oiled, leadscrews / threaded rods greased.I forgot to ask why and if there's any truth to it, I do not know.
PS: make sure you don't dribble whatever you use on your PEI sheet, or you'll spend quite some time cleaning it off again.

For the care and maintenance of the moving parts of the Prusai3 it is best to protect the printer from contamination of dust and chamois, this will decrease the need for lubrication of the bearings, so it is advisable to have a cover to keep the entired printer out the dust it will also work for the electronic system, See here a cover.

Not really a lot of use for those of us whose printers are running 24/365!

Peter, lol you are a well known poster here, with many many many posts. A dust cover makes sense if your printer is not used often. Yours running 24 hours a day 365 days a year is an exaggeration. You have to have down time between prints. I Along with many others, use sewing machine oil and silicone grease on some parts, in my dust free environment.

You are of course, quite correct, there are the times when I am removing the prints and preparing for the next ones when the printers are not actually in use. And of course, the nozzle changes and other maintenance.
