3d Print Cooling fan doesnt turn on
Hi, I just finished the assembly of my prusa i3 kit, and I made a couple of prints with 3d benchy , but I have the problem of it looking kind of melted in general, I rechecked the calibration and so on, and looking around I found that the fan in charge of cooling the layers doesnt tun on at all, checked al the conections twice and everything seems to be in place, any idea of what could be causing this and how to solve it?
Thanks in advance to any advice you can give me. 🙂

Double check the polarity of the fan connector.
Please refer to the images for the correct polarity in this post:

I found it was something about the settings from the file and computer, even so thanks a lot :D.
Re: 3d Print Cooling fan doesnt turn on
So guys, please help me to get that right:
The fan on the side of the extruder (which looks like a common CPU fan) should start up at 50 °C. However, the other fan (which looks like a turbine and which has the plastic part attached which diverts the airflow to the nozzle and to the newly printed thing) should NOT turn on.
Is that correct?!
In my case, the first fan starts spinning at 50 °C (so, I guess this is OK) while the other fan can only be turned on manually through the LCD display.
I haven't tried anything else since it is my first real go on a 3D printer (except for some pieces on a Felix 3.0 - which were actually only designed by me and I just watched a friend operating the printer) so I don't want to ruin the printer before even getting started.
Re: 3d Print Cooling fan doesnt turn on
The print cooling fan will kick in automatically based on the settings in Sli3r –> Filament -> Cooling
You don't want it running all the time 🙂
