What is faster? 2 prints or 1 with 2 objects?

Just wondering.

What would be faster if you want to print 2 objects.
Print them separately, or print them at the same time?

I think separately would be faster because of less movement?

Try slicing the two models and compare projexted buildtime in pronterface
Dont forget to add in
Extra time watching for end of first print. Removal of tbe first model
Preparation of build plate for second model
Re heating anad mesh levelling. All of which will need to be added to the two separate model process

Do the checks with two medium size models and two tiny models. On the tiny models the slicer may slow down a lot because of small layer time. Where as tbe travel time may allow for faster printing on two models in the same job.

When I have to print a lot of stuff, I always put multiple objects on the plate and do them together.

Even if the print time is slightly slower (though I don't think it is), the idle time between prints is a really big deal. In the best case, I can let the printer run overnight and get another print started first thing in the morning. That gives 6-8 more hours of printer time each day, as compared to doing one object at a time.
