Slicr3r Prusa edition 1st 3 layers

Slicr3r Prusa edition 1st 3 layers of an object I made are not level to the printing platform. When I go to print the object, it prints the surrounding line, then goes up 3 layers and try's to continue printing. Even when I create the object and send it slightly below the grid then convert it to an STL, it still prints 3 layers higher than the platform!

Any ideas? Thanks!

I have found where I can "cut" the bottom of my object, save the top half, but it screws up the whole project.

Hey there.
I have only had this issue when I've tried to print something with an edge that is too thin and is thus neglected in the slicing process. An example of this is a wing profile which ends at a sharp end so if I try to print it with that end downwards, the model is placed with this edge on the build platform in the slicing software but the edge are not sliced so when it tries to print, it starts at the first layer where the profile is thick enough to be sliced which happens to be about 1mm above the build platform.
My solution was to reorient the wing profile and ended up with a pretty smooth surface and a sharp edge. If the same is the case for you, the solution would either be to reorient the print or to buy a smaller nozzle and use so it can do the fine edge that sits against the platform.
