Slicer, Problems adding a Displayfrontcover

Hey,

i've a Eleduino 7" TFT that i want to use with my OctoPi-Installation.
I've draw a 7" Frontcover (the original doesn't cover some electric parts of the display):

I can add this to Slic3r with no problems and print it.

Now i want to add a "Panel" that covers the HDMI/USB-Connectors and gives me some space to add some Switches/Trigger/Pushbuttons etc. (Shut down the OctoPi, activate a print-worklight, etc.).

If i try to add this STL to Slic3r, it crash's instantly. I thought there would be something wrong with the STL, so i draw it from scratch new - but same behavior.

The "print size" is smaller than my MK2 bed (< 25cm).. has anyone a idea, why this happens / what i could do to get around this?

Hey, got it!
Had to rotate my Part in AutoDesk 90° - than the STL fits into the virtual printbed in Slic3r 🙂

There seems to be bad bug in the Strawberry Perl - that is the programming environment Slic3r runs in. The 64bit Slic3r hangs if there has to be some error message displayed, for example that the model does not fit the print bed. The 32bit Slic3r works. I am working on this issue.
