Re: Simplify3D settings
thank you you roman 🙂
Re: Simplify3D settings
Is the Outline Overlap and bridge settings for ABS only?
Thanks,
Dennis
No those settings are available for all filament types. they just need to be adjusted depending on how the filament extrudes.
Re: Simplify3D settings
Does anyone have any settings for Ninjaflex?
Re: Simplify3D settings
Just bought this last night. Hopefully it will be much better then the other ones.
The contained zip file in the first post for the pla are good profiles to use? Or is there any updates?
Re: Simplify3D settings
UPDATE 24.1.2016
Added the 3mm ABS production setting we use to print our parts.
Re: Simplify3D settings
awesome! Thanjks
Re: Simplify3D settings
Well between the posted settings and some modified gcode at the end, this program is amazing.
I am having a blast running it and very nice to stay in the one program to do it all.
Re: Simplify3D settings
Scott, would you mind sharing what custom ending script you're using? I've just been homing X and Y axis and turning off the fan and motors.
Re: Simplify3D settings
Darth
This is what I use. Most of it is basic, I just like it to move the printed object to the front for easier removal.
M104 S0 ; turn off temperature
M140 S0 ; turn off heatbed
G91 ; Use Relative Coordinates
G1 Z0.6 F5000 ; Lift Nozzle by 0.6mm
G90 ; Use Absolute Coordinates
G28 X0 ; home X axis
G1 Y195 ; Move Y axis to end position
M84 ; disable motors
M107 ; turn off fan
Re: Simplify3D settings
Darth,
Basically what Richard said. Sorry I can't check right now since in the middle of a print. Cause if you are printing from SD card and open Simplify it kills the print cause it connects to it. Hard lesson to learn!
Re: Simplify3D settings
Another issue here.
I have created gcode and copied it to the SD card. Tried to load it in via the lcd panel on the printer and it doesn't want to load it. Says it does but just sits there. I generate gcode from Slic3r and it loads just fine from the SD card but for Simplify... it just sits there...
Any ideas?
Re: Simplify3D settings
Scott,
I don't use the SD card so I can't speak to that, but I have the same problem with ColoPrint. It works great with Slic3r but it doesn't even recognize anything coming out of Simplify3D.
Re: Simplify3D settings
Yup found that out too .
I try to use the SD card cause already I've been screwed with windows deciding to reboot or crash during a print.
Re: Simplify3D settings
I haven't seen issues with my SD card prints. I will say that you can turn off the auto-connecting to the printer from the preferences/options menu. This is pretty handy!
Re: Simplify3D settings
I see we have the setting for simplify 3D in 3MM. Do we have it in 1.75.. I might have overlooked it.
Re: Simplify3D settings
@Joseph: Thanks for this. Would be great to have the same settings (DETAIL, DRAFT, NORMAL) for:
1. The flexible filament that you sell (1.75mm)
2. ABS 1.75mm
Cheers!

Re: Simplify3D settings
If you are using S3D one thing you will need to check is the TOOLS, Firmware Configuration. Make certain it says REPRAP. For some reason, my S3D keeps reverting back to the MakerBot/Sailfish firmware and that does some strange things 🙂
Re: Simplify3D settings
Here are some settings for Ninjaflex. I've been getting fairly good results with these.
Some tweaking will very likely be required for other types of flexible filament but these should be a good base to start from.
Re: Simplify3D settings
Will there be an updated version for the mk2?
