Simplify3D issues with raft and support

Hi guys

I wanted to print a PacMan lamp shade ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1172933 ) and I'm running into issues with S3D using a raft and support.
Due to the fact that the model needs some support I decided to print it upside down. This results in less support to be printed. You can see the placement here:

But after the processing the details where the model should attach to the raft looks like this:

You can see a spacing of at least one layer. This is with "Separation Distance" already set to 0.00mm! This does not make sense to me because if I print it without the raft the first layer of the model is perfectly on the bed and is not printed somewhere mid air.

Here you can see my settings for raft and supports within S3D:

Hopefully someone knows how to solve this.

Thanks in advance!

I think I found the issue! The model is not made to be printed upside down. The contact surface is just not sufficient which leads into a left out layer.
I now placed the model 0.26mm lower than the print bed surface and TADAA it works:

Maybe this will be useful for somebody else. 😳
