Prusa Slic3r seemingly taking forever and won't complete

Hello,

I've run into a model that Prusa Slicer just will not slice. I can start it but then it gets hung up on preparing infill, I even left it overnight and it still hasn't finished. The thing is I set infill to 0%. I see in task manager that it continues to use decent amounts of CPU still so I think it is still working.

Cura can slice it in seconds, however I haven't had good luck with prints from Cura so my prints from Cura have been failing.

The specific Model I'm having issue with is "FDG0179_DLU_Floor_Wood4x4.stl" from the Fat Dragon Games Village set.

Has anyone experiences this before? Any tips on how to get Slic3r to speed up/complete?

This issue has been reported already and I hope this has already been fixed.

Please stay tuned for the next Slic3r release.

Hah! I had the same thing happen, its why I fired up the other slicer. I did load the file up in ZBrush and decimate (simplify) it and although it worked, still took a long time.

Thought I was going crazy for a minute there.

Thanks Voj!
