PRUSA Logo

1. What are the slicer settings for the printed PRUSA logo that ships w/ the MK2 I2?

2. The finish on the surface of the letters has some dull finish areas almost like it was sanded or buffed. Does anyone know if this is the case or is that just the way the letters come out from the printing process and the type of filament used?

Re: PRUSA Logo

You can read the settings yourself. They are in the .gcode file at the bottom, in text comments.

If you like different surface finishes, please play with (do a test run) the "Top/bottom fill pattern:" settings (under Infill under Print Settings).

I default to Concentric these days, but Hilbert Curve is nice if you want a texture on a flat surface.

You really need to print this on a test item. The preview does not capture the surface texture. I tested with a metallic (shinny) filament (Copper Hatchbox), and the textures were very different.

Any advices given are offered in good faith. It is your responsibility to ensure that by following my advice you do not suffer or cause injury, damage or loss. If you solve your problem, please post the solution…

Re: PRUSA Logo

The logo in the picture I posted above came with my Prusa i3 mk2 printers and it looks like the top layer of the letters have been sanded. Do you have any idea if that's the case?
