Prusa Filaments

Hello guys,

Does anyone know whether Prusa filaments are safe for food? (i.e. FDA approved?)

I would like to print some water containers for pets 😀

I don't think so. But here is what you are looking for!

Hi, they are not certified, but they are made from safe materials.

It should be more than fine for pet toys. I printed a lot of stuff for my black pug 🙂

To print food safe parts, you need to have every bit of the printer and the whole process certified. In EU it is even more difficult.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the answers. You are right for the whole process thing. I'll give it a try for my pet. If it starts to behave abnormally, i'll write here. 😀

Just be careful and don't let them chew it. After some chewing objects will delaminate back to filament lines and the pet can eat it. My Buddy ate some and was fine every time but I would be careful. 💡
