Problem printing PETG supports (using Cura)

Hi

I have an object that I've printed countless times without any issues using PLA. Now I want to print it using PETG.
First I ran a Benchy and made sure it looked ok. Which (imo) it did.

Next I printer my object, which requires some supports.
The supports just go completely wrong. This is what it looks like (had to stop the print each time).

The object itself looks ok, but the support structures are just a bunch of wires going all over the place.

Here is the gcode file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vja9ca2z70habyy/PIM_top2.gcode?dl=0

In short:
print temp 235
bed temp 70
layer height 0.2
flow 85%
retraction 0.8mm
print speed 45mm/s
print cooling fan 100% except for 1st layer
supports: lines, 15% density, 2.6667mm line distance and 0.1mm z distance, using towers

Any ideas?
