Print Gaps - High Quality

I'm using the default Simplify3d settings for medium quality and my prints turn out fine.

When I switch to high quality, I'm getting gaps in my print (see attached). Anyone know why that might be happening?

Re: Print Gaps - High Quality

I've never had this problem myself but if it was me I would look at:

  • Are either of the belts not tight enough thus causing juddering/jerking due to slipping?

  • Under extrusion?

  • Inconsistent hotend temperature?

  • Print to fast?

  • Printing on lower power?
  • Just a few things you could try looking into until someone more knowledgeable comes along to help!

Probably not a belt issue because it works on the other quality levels.
    Printing on high power

I'll have to experiment with the other items you mentioned. Underextrusion might be the issue but it's weird that it seems to happen at random z levels.

I'd look carefully through the Simplify3D process settings to see what is actually different between the two. Also, depending on when you downloaded the Simplify3D settings from Prusa Research, they might have changed since you downloaded yours. Might want to download the new ones and compare.
