PETG looks awful compared to PLA
Dear All,
New to this group, just started with 3d priting for an art project . Prusa I3 Mk2/s
got good results using PLA, but after switiching to PETG, the results seem to be worse in resulution and smothness.
Printsettings were standard, slicer PrusaControl, PETG, generic (resulution 0,2 PETG, PLA 0,15)
PETG was baked for 3h 65°C before printing
What did I do wrong,

Why did you bake it? Perhaps it's beyond it's use by date?
Start with some fresh PETG and try printing a standard test print first (eg the ubiquitous Benchy).

Use by date? i have PETG that's 4 years old, when i use it, it works. they do absorb moisture. i have a filament dryer and i've put it in once just in case. i don't even think the Pla print looks good so i can imagine the PETG would be much worse if not calibrated.
OP should give an image that isn't taken from a potato.

A better image would be good. looks like it's from a flip phone from early 2000.

you're right. morning brain fart. Anyway.... PETG can absorb some moisture but it does not affect the print, just the strength. unless it's bad quality or something else entirely. However the use by date would depend on storage conditions. if you do the usual zip-lock with desiccant and not in direct sunlight... it's about 10+ years for PLA/ABS....

No drama, we all suffer from them.
Anyhow what I suggested to the OP originally was more the case of trying a different PETG than he already had (because stating he had stuck it in the oven implies that he perhaps thought it may have been a bit suspect to begin with), and trying a known test print. Hopefully that may help him.
