Orbi-Tech PLA printing Issue
Hi All guys,how are you?
I have some trouble by printing the OrbiTech PLA 90.....i use 245° printing temp,60 °C heat-bed, 0.1 mm Layer height.....well,my firsts 3-4 layers are printed with a huge over extrusion, many blobs appear on it,and many printed plastic during the nozzle movements stick to the nozzle itself.
After the firsts layers all go well,no over extrusion,no under extrusion.......but the first layers are a nightmare.
(i'm printing 1.5mm round bases for miniatures)
I try to reduce the flow via slic3r,no change....the only good change i have is if i Tune the extrusion flow to 85% (extrusion multiplier set to 1 in slic3r) ....but after the few first layer if i don't set it back to 100% i have a serious under extrusion issue...
Note that this issue only appear using Orbitech PLA,i use Prusa PLA and all go well, used NGEN and all go well...any idea?
thank you

Re: Orbi-Tech PLA printing Issue
That sounds rather hot for PLA 90 - Orbi-Tech doesn't seem to give temperature recommendations on their website but did a little looking and most of the folks i found using it said they're using 210C-230C for printing temperature. Also, while I've never used the Orbi-Tech, but the high-temp PLA I've tried didn't like a very warm bed: I was using 40C for some and an unheated bed for others, depending on the manufacturer.
Re: Orbi-Tech PLA printing Issue
Well....thank you very much for your reply,....i use 245° hot end temp because on the side of the reel there is this temp printed (with no other indications)......i try to print at a lower temp but the printed object have a....falky look (i can't find a better translation) and the extruded filament stick to the nozzle.....
I will try to lower the temp of the nozzle and of the bed anyway.
Thank you
