Need more stick? Extra Flow for 1st layer only in Slic3r

I just found out you can have Slic3r flow extra filament for the 1st layer only by setting the line width.

For example, using a .4 nozzle you can set the first layer Extrusion width for 0.9

Is there a place in Cura that I can configure extra flow for the 1st layer only?

Happy printing.

Actually that's not increasing the filament flow that's simply increasing the line width of the first layer. Any you really don't want to go above 0.5mm with a 0.4mm nozzle.

If you want to increase the flow for the first layer, there are various ways of doing that, including "Z Offset" (I don't know if that is available in Cura though, but it should be...).

Are we talking about the same thing, because in PE Slic3r under the Advance tab the Default extrusion width comes configured from Prusa with a value of 0.65, correct?

"Z offset"? Which tab is that under on PE Slic3r.

The Default Extrusion Width in PE Slic3r is set to 0.45.

My mistake, I changed the settings in a previous session a while back which added to my confusion.

I would like to find a way to increase the flow for the 1st layer only rather than having to do this manually using OctoPrint.

Any ideas on a method without switching to a different slicer?

By manually editing the gcode would it be possible to increase the flow for the 1st layer only?

I found the Z offset setting under the Printer Settings tab but I only want the extra flow to be associated with a particular printing profile, however thanks for the info.
