Looking for a more matte/flat filament finish
Backstory:
One of my summer project is doing a bunch of arduino based home automation. This involves me creating and printing a number of custom enclosures for various sensors, relays, dataloggers etc. My problem is that all my enclosures print super glossy, which is normally nice, against my house or in the outdoors in general, they really stand out and look almost cartoonish.
Question:
Is there a brand/make/type of filament that prints matte? I'd like to use PetG, but PLA would probably work too (don't really want to mess with abs, but if it's the perfect solution, I'd consider it)
I could sand my enclosures to dull them, but I've taken the time to do some nice details, which makes them a pain to sand, A nice flat grey like electrical conduit would be great.

Anybody have experience with this proto pasta matte fiber filament...its a little $$, but looks right...I'm curious about the durability of the HTPLA

In my experience, if you print cool, you get a matt finish.
So try lowering the temperature and speed up the perimeters.

The Hatchbox Carbon filament is a nice matte black.
Polymaker Max PLA is also matte(r) than most.
Other options include spray paint.

Thanks Peter, that's definitely a easy and cheap one to try..
How low and how fast to see a difference? I typically print pla at 215 and my makergeeks petG at 255, and I assume small adjustments on the parimeters?

For PLA, I print at 200 to 205 degrees with perimeters at 20mm/s. Perimeters would need to be about 40mm/sec to produce a matt finish at 205.
