First post ever newbie user 🙂

Hello,

I just receive my Mk2, I mount it, fallow the guide , check the videos.

I must say that this printer rock solid, I faild the first time, need to do minor ajustement and after it run like a charm.

the only thing I do is when I start printing I set the speed at 40% for the first layer to make sure that the filament stick correctly, If I put 100% for the first layer the layer don't stick 100%, I tried to live ajust and lower , does't change so I think it's the bed temp ?

if I use the calibration gcode at 100% speed the filament don't stick 100% everywhere, if I slow the speed at 40% for the first layer it's work.

so I wonder if it's the bed temp or the nozle temp.

Very happy and thanks the Prusa team helping me out with my prob.

does someone know filament that is flexible and FDA (Food safe) ? I found a website http://www.makergeeks.com/maflfinre1.html , but does't ship elsewhere than usa.

PS: Just my tought
- Thing that is missing is the enclose frame for the printer, that would be cool to have it as option. (Probaly make one myself) someone have plan?
- A little bit higher like 10 inch height instead of 8

you may need to play with the live Z adjust a little. there are some calibrations you can run with PLA to see how your machine reacts.

https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/life-adjust-z-my-way-t2981.html

you will want to clean your bed with 100% isopropyl alcohol really well for PLA.
other filaments will need solvent free glue or ABS juice.

right now your live Z might be a bit high so the filament is not compressing into the bed surface enough.

an enclosure is easy go to the home store and pick up some PCV 1/2" piping and fittings and some plastic.

here is mine.

I added basement foundation foam to the inside with a large granite floor tile to put the printer on, the Foam helps more heat retention and noise dampening, the tile is on top of foam also as a dampener for noise, vibration and sound, and the tile is Level along with the table so the printer sits 100% flat.
