First Layer problems with PETG
I bought some HD Glass "blinded black" PETG filament, but I've not been able to get successful prints from it for some reason. The first layer has strange artefacts on it, plus there are areas where it appears to be underextruded (and other areas that are fine) - it seems to depending on which way the print head was moving at the time.
Any tips on what I can do to fix this? The sides and top of the print look OK and the printer is trammed correctly. I'm using the Slic3r PE PETG profile (but at 220C, which is the recommended temp for this filament - lower than most other PETG).
I've attached a photo of the piece :).
Re: First Layer problems with PETG
Have you tried it 5 or 10 degrees hotter?
your temperature sensor is an indicator, not a precision temperature measurement tool... it may be a little inaccurate.
or your other settings may result in the need for higher temperature.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I tried with a hotter temperature (and lower) but I get the same result each time.
