Re: filament recommendations

Thomas,
were you able to get rid of the stringing with FilaFlex?
I am currently in the same situation and started to experiment to find the best settings. Maybe you already did the journey and I can save some time (and filament).
Thanks in advance!

Not really 🙁

But there is another thread in the forum. This guy fixed the problems : http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-f23/advice-and-settings-for-printing-ninjaflex--t1040-s10.html#p33728

OK; it's NinjaFlex, but it can work with FilaFlex too.

Thanks for the link.
I'll give it a try.
My latest test prints looked promising. I'll try to print Benchy tomorrow and see how it will come out...

Re: filament recommendations

For some time time I am printing with only with ABS and PLA from Plasty Mladec. This is the same filament as the one you get from Prusa. It is preety cheap 17€ / 1kg in Poland and prints nicely.

Re: filament recommendations

I have used PETG, ABS and PLA+ from Esun. I purchased them through their distributor in the US ( Intservo). They have several distributors in Europe although I am not sure about Germany. The material was packaged well and competitively priced. The quality seems good. The PLA+ ran well. The PETG ran well after I learned how to adjust the settings. I am still learning how to optimize running the ABS.

Re: filament recommendations

I already killed 2 rolls of the Makergeeks PLA filament and haven't had any issues. I am on my 3rd roll and so far so good. I am also trying their PETG and again no problems with it just yet.
