Fan-nozzle in ABS?
Hi!!
I have been trying to print the fan-nozzle.stl for my ongoing project and i just cant get a good result, please have a look.
I use the stock ABS settings and EasyAbs from prusa
2 Perimeters
4 top layers
3 bottom layers
25% infill
on one print i even turned down the speed with the knob to around 60%, the result was better but the part is not usable.
Could i print this piece in Petg or Pla instead? or is there someone out there who knows how to do this in ABS?

Re: Fan-nozzle in ABS?
Mine are printed in PLA.
Been running for over a month without issue.

Re: Fan-nozzle in ABS?
Printed one in PLA and one in Petg, both were successful so i decided to use the one printed in Petg.

Re: Fan-nozzle in ABS?
The only problem is that this fan nozzle is not as good as other designs which blow from 2 or 3 sides...

have you seen a better option to simply replace existing nozzle Peter?
I haven't, but would be interested if there were an option.

This one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2276997 but modified. Most of the internal baffles removed, third exit at the front, higher at the left and mods to allow the fan to fit slightly inside the nozzle.

Re: Fan-nozzle in ABS?
from looking at the ABS in the first photo it is too hot.
drop temp manually using settings tune 5C and try again, keep dropping temp until you see improvement.

Re: Fan-nozzle in ABS?
I found this one yesterday: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2471337
Printed in two parts and then glued as suggested. Seems to work great although I haven't yet printed again the parts which were lacking of cooling.
