Does color change work while using OctoPrint?

I was reading this thread:

TLDR:
-Search for Z height
-- G1 Z1.800 F1000
--- Search for Z1.8
Replace with "M600"
-- M must be UpperCase
Question:
Does this work with OctoPrint or only when printing from SD card?
- I ask because when I do a filament change while running while printing with OctoPrint if I am not quick enough, I get timeout errors
-- Sometimes I can hit pause and resume... the job will continue most of the time but I had one failure

You will need to add M600 to the list of "Long Running Commands" within Octoprint and you may also need to increase the timeout.
You will still have to be fairly quick to do the change.
