coming unstuck with Benchy model - advice needed for newbie

Hi all,
I finished assembling my 3i Mk2 kit earlier this week and think I have got it set up fairly well.
I seem to be having problems printing when I get part of the way through a print, about 3mm up, when the model becomes detached from the bed.
I have thoroughly cleaned the bed, raised the bed to 65 deg C with PLA.
I have slowed down the print speed for the first couple of layers and the PLA seems to stick initially but then about 3mm up it detaches and I get a worm of extrusion.
Any help would be very welcome.
Paul

Print the pre-sliced Prusa logo from the SD card. While the first layer is printing, check that it is getting a good "squish". If not, lower the nozzle using Live Z Adjust.

Thanks for that I will give it a try.
I have the Z setting to -2.0mm and it still does not seem to squish.
What are typical Z settings?

Your P.I.N.D.A. probe has to be too high up. The handbook says you shouldn't exceed -1.00 for the Live Z Adjustment. Move it down more and run another Live Z Adjustment.

OK, I have re-set the nozzle just touching the bed and a 1mm feeler gauge to set the PINDA. I re-ran the XYZ calibration which was OK
I then ran a large test piece and found that a good Z setting to squish the filament was about -.5mm
I then went to try printing the Prusa Logo and it is almost as it the printer has ignored my -.5mm setting as the first layer doesn't squish and rapidly come unstuck.
I realised when I bought the printer that there would be a lot to learn but dismayed that I can't even get one simple print right.

Hi again,
I think I may have cracked the problem. I was running the test piece but aborting the print when I had the Z setting correct and because the print didn't get to the end it didn't store the Z value.
I then used the Prusa slicer to amend the settings to print Marvin using brims & rafts to help stick. I also slowed the first layer.
My print has come out well so am very happy and delighted with my 3i Mk2.
