Car Chassis ABS settings

Hi I am a beginner in 3d print. I have print out a car chassis with slic3r at 0,2mm. As you can see there are some print issues at the trunk. Is that because the abs was to hot or rather to cold?

In the inside I removed the support material, but some heavy ugly suport parts still remain. Any recommendations to get rid of these? As this is a testprint, I need this chassis to print out as a transparent object absolutely smooth and glossy. Is that even possible?

best

rog!

Hi Roger

I thought it was elephants that had trunks. I guess you mean the boot lid...

That looks to me like the seam. This is something you can change in the slicer. Also looks as though there is slightly too much filament being extruded. You may need to calibrate the feed for this particular filament.

With regards to smoothing, have you seen Josef's video:

Apologies, I missed the support material question. You should be able to change the support settings within the slicer to move the support slightly further away from the printed part. Either that or make the support slightly rougher. This is one that only experimentation will resolve.
