Can I "resume" a print after stopping?
I'm trying to do my first ColorPrint with my Mk2. In retrospect, I should have started with the bottle opener sample... dumb dumb dumb. After searching for my problem here I found out I exported the gcode using the "Mk2 with zhop" but should have used "Mk2 with ColorPrint". So I'll need to cancel my current print, reslice my model and start over. But at this point the sign I designed is about 7 or 8 hours in, still stuck to the bed just find, and I'm already on my second try. I'd like to avoid wasting more filament (and time) on this thing if I can...
So, my question is... with Slic3r, is there some way I could tell it to start at a particular Z (like an offset or something)?
If not, I know MeshMixer allows you to raise models off the bed, would Slic3r honor that z height or reset it to 0?

No, you can change the color manually using "Change filament" menu command during print.
It is almost impossible to continue stopped (not paused) print. It's much easier to print missing part alone and glue it together using acetone (for ABS) or CA (for PLA) glue.

A couple of times I made a ColorPrint mistake and was able to fix it:
1) Once I forgot to run the ColorPrint tool before I started the print. When it got near the point where it was about to need a change, I did the change filament command in the LCD menu. I caught it early enough where you can't tell at all.
2) Another time my filament got jammed when doing the color change, and OctoPrint timed out, stopping the print. I took the print off, then resliced the model with just a single layer of the first color and the rest of the second color, then I used super glue to glue it on. You would never notice unless you were looking for it.
What happened to you in ColorPrint? When I once tried to run the ColorPrint tool but used the Zhop profile, I noticed that the same layer appeared many times. Did you actually add the color change at one of those points? If so, was it the first one?
Also, note that the number where you add the color change is the first point of the new color. For example, if you want Z=4.2 to be black, and Z=4.4 to be red, you need to put the color change at 4.4.
I don't know if there's a way to just have the printer start again with the new color....someone else would have to answer that. I guess you would also have to turn off the code that makes it do the starting calibration.

When talking about resuming stopped (interrupted) print on MK2, remember one very important thing. MK2 will need to do mesh bed leveling calibration at start of new print. This is impossible with old print object still present on the bed. And without MBL (which can be omitted in start code) printer will never match new layer onto last printed layer of previous print.
