ABS stringing / oozing

Been printing PLA pretty reliably for a few months now with the i3 mk2 and am now trying to get ABS working. Here are the best prints I've gotten so far and the settings used:

Settings:
Filament = AMZ3D ABS black (listed as 210-240 degree temp)
HE = 230-265 and 240-265
Bed = 100
Retraction = 0.8mm for first set of towers (230-265) and 1.5mm for second set (240-265)
Retract speed = 120mm/s
Bridging speed = 50mm/s for first set, 15mm/s for second set
No fan
Cardboard box enclosure

I was having issues with bridging, but slowing down the bridging speed seems to have fixed that. Biggest issue now is that stringing / oozing. The photos show two separate prints of 2x towers each spaced diagonally across from each other on the bed. You can see that all the stringy bits are on opposite corners from when the nozzle goes to travel across the bed to the opposite tower.

Any suggestions?

Just guessing but I think there may be a clue here:

Right, should have mentioned that I was having issues with the nozzle completely clogging at lower temps.

I was also going by what I've read around the forums, where most people seem to print ABS at 255-265. Prusa even lists a printing temp of 255 here, yet the ABS filament they sell in the shop is listed at 220-240. Hatchbox and amz3d are also listed at 210-240, but I haven't seen anyone printing ABS at such low temps.

On the odd occasion when I print ABS, I do so at 230 to 235 degrees.

I also print ABS at 230-235.
