y-rod-holder.stl file cannot be found

According to the MK3-build instructions "y-axis assembly" step-12, there is suppose to be a replacement stl for the y-hold-front and y-hold-back parts called "y-rod-holder" This stl file is not in the latest stl zip file. Does anyone know where this new stl can be found?

Hello Raymond. Please check again or re-download the file. They are called y-holder-front.stl and y-holder-rear.stl 🙂

It should be on GitHub, but it isn't.

The manual I referred to in an earlier post called them "y-rod-holder.stl". The items you referred to were the "old" stl files.

if you look in github you should make sure to select the "MK3" branch

https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-i3/tree/MK3/Printed-Parts/stl

maybe the file y-holder-front.stl or y-holder-rear.stl ?

No, the current build manual says these two are obsolete.

I wish Prusa would keep the files on Github up to date! Whenever there is an iteration made, it would be cool to get the new designs from GitHub - especially as long as there are problems for some customers like the wiggly x belt.

Well maybe you received a kit that was prepared for you before 01/2018. If you're waiting for the latest part 'improvements' you will miss out on actually printing. Or are you missing any rod holders in your kit? Then a a quick chat on the PR website will surely get you some. Meanwhile my assembled kit is printing great with the old design. And if there are any advantages, you can always replace them later on.
