Wobbling Pulley Video
Hi,
I just noticed this pulley doing a wobbling thing. Will this affect my prints in any way?
Thanks

I guess not if the belt is running fine?
Re: Wobbling Pulley Video
Its probably not going to cause a problem.. But most people seem to think that a toothed pulley is a better solution anyway.. They are dirt cheap so why not use the opportunity to get one, and also install Matthews tensioner upgraded at the same time.

Re: Wobbling Pulley Video
The chinese toothed pulleys also have two bearings in them, one on each side, the original only has one bearing in the mmiddle... this is likely to reduce the idler wobble.
on my Mk1 prusa, the X axis Idler Pulley bearing disintegrated mid print... which was not good for print quality. (It had done a lot of work)
I temporarily replaced it with a plain bearing but that didn't run well on the screwthread of the M3 bolt... so I was glad to get the replacement bearing...
I cannot remember if that idler is still in the printer after the upgrade to Mk2 or whether I changed it out...
I have both 16 tooth and 20 tooth idlers available but so far, no desperate need to strip down a good printer...
regards Joan
