On another note, I also ordered 3 of their mouse pads. They marked them as shipped, sent me an email listing package contents with them listed, even included them on the invoice in the box, but they were no where to be found. I asked Customer Service, and they said they were backordered so they were not included with my order and would be shipped at another time at no additional cost. However, no where on my account does it say I have an active order. No where is there any mention of "backordered". I'm expecting MakerGeeks to completely forget about my me and my mousepads :(. Seems like an issue that their system doesn't have a way for them to send a partial order, or to split orders, or perhaps they can and they just chose not to for me.

That's happened twice to me with filament. When it does ship you will get a new tracking number. You got your BF filament? Mine still hasn't even shipped. I didn't go for grab bags though. I ordered 4 rolls of filament in specific colors so they might have actually oversold my colors.

I bought 2 rolls of their flex, Yellow and Blue and it has not shipped yet with no ship date yet. They shipped the grab (garbage) bag of filament though. It's like buying a bag of weed from your local weed dealer thinking you bought resin coated pinecone skunk bugs only to get home and find you spent a $100 on shake.

I'll take your word for it... lol.

Well, I read this entire thread. It started with MakerGeeks having wonderful PETG. I go to their website and read some glowing stuff about their PETG. At the end of this thread MakerGeeks begins to sound like a horrible place.

Has anyone else had a good experience with MakerGeeks?

I don't really mind if they become silly around the holidays. I'm thinking maybe they had to hire some high school students to handle the increased volume, and some teenagers aren't too customer friendly.

It is conceivable I might have a great experience with them. Truthfully: I don't much care about the experience. I'm just trying to get some really good PETG.

I'm waiting on my Prusa MK3. It's my first printer.

And I appreciate the discussion here. Your reports about MakerGeeks have made me cautious.

I'm in the same boat (first printer, waiting on MK3), thought I'd take advantage of the cyber sale and ordered 4 spools (2 grab bags of 1PLA+1PETGea.) I figured I didn't really care what colors as I'm learning and most of it would be used as a learning experience. So long as I didn't get all the same color I'd be a happy bunny.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the order shipped very quickly given the volume they must have been getting. I received a small box with 2 spools of PLA (Red and Yellow), vacuum sealed bags, looks nice. Unfortunately no note, and no indication that this was only half my order. The packing slip didn't indicate anything was back ordered. I sent an email on a weekend and got a reply same day stating their PETG was backordered and it would ship separately. I've just now received a second box with 2 spools of black PETG. Would've been nice to get two different colors based on the description of the grab bags on their site, but given the price I paid I can't complain too much.

So overall, it looks like they are attempting to directly address the concerns and must've hired some help in the customer service department. Given the volume they must've gotten around their big sale, overall service wasn't "great", but for grab bags I'd say it was "good" and responsive, and considering what I paid for locally made PLA & PETG, I'm a satisfied customer even if both my spools of PETG grab bag were black. Actual quality of printing is yet to be seen, and I don't have any reference other than what I've seen online.

Maker Geeks Raptor PLA:
I use Maker Geeks Raptor exclusively for PLA parts. It prints incredibly well, is very tough and heat resistant as advertised. They constantly run sales so I've never paid list price. I have no complaints with the quality of their Raptor. I design engineering parts and the Raptor material is a great substitute for ABS or PETG with none of the printing issues.

Maker Geeks customer service:
I have not been happy with their inconsistent delivery. I've ordered material from them and received it within 48 hours. I've ordered material from them and received it 4 weeks later. I've sent emails asking for a definite shipping date and received no response for up to a week. I've sent emails and had immediate responses.

Bottom line I will continue to order their Raptor PLA and make sure I re-order at least a month before I think I'll need it. The quality , durability and cost of the finished print makes up for the hit or miss customer service. I hope that one day Maker Geeks will hire a professional customer rep but more importantly I need them to continue the quality of their Raptor material.

I feel the same way about their PETG. I haven't used their raptor series stuff, but I figure if its anything like their PETG its good stuff. Their flexible filament is cheap, but not really a substitute for Ninjaflex. When you stretch ninjaflex, it goes back. Their TPU does not.

I e-mailed them as I posted above about it being 2 weeks now without a shipping notification. I got a response first thing the next morning and tracking the following day... and its going to arrive much quicker than it normally would (shipping time is usually in the week range, this is going to be 3 days). Lets see if I get all 4 rolls this time.
