Way to test stepper motor?

Hey guys, I bought the kit, assembled it, updated the firmware, ran the self test successfully. Went to run the first layer calibration to find that the filament just isn't pulling through to the extruder. The filament sensor seems to be working to tell if there is filament inserted but the stepper motor doesn't seem to be turning. I tested the connection to the RAMBO board and everything is in its place. I am hoping that i didn't get shipped a bad motor. Is there a way to test if it works beyond just trying to run filament through it? (kind of like how the other motors are tested by the xyz calibration)

Can you post a picture of the noctua side of the extruder? Hoping you didn't make the same mistake I did where I almost severed the wires on my stepper motor.

Did the motor pull the filament when you loaded it?

Cool, you didn't make the same mistake I did. The instructions weren't clear on how to route the stepper motor cables through the X carriage assembly so I routed mine through the top channel of the extruder body and around the noctua fan, crushing my cables and almost cutting them in half.

Pre heat the nozzle and click load filament in the menus. You can look inside the extruder housing and you should see the gears turning. If they're not, and I know you verified that the cables were plugged in properly, I'd reach out to the live chat for support.

Thanks for the speedy responses man, I appreciate it. I will have to reach out to the support team since the gears aren't even turning.
