TPU filament going where it shouldn't

I was struggling to print TPU on the MK3 as it kept coming out the side of the extruder. My solution was to cut a new piece of PTFE tubing slightly longer and trim the ends at 45 degrees under where the drive gears are leaving as little space as possible for the filament to escape. I also made the ID slightly bigger at the top of the tube.

Re: TPU filament going where it shouldn't

I want to try a print with Ninjatek Armadillo (TPU) and will modify the PTFE tubing as you suggest.

Question: can you please tell me the appropriate settings/values (Slic3r PE 1.38.6) you use for TPU?

Thanks a lot and happy printing!

Is this still working well for you? My workaround was to slow things down, changing all extrusion speeds to a max of 50mm/s.
