Selftest error: Y-axis length
So when I'm running the selftest the plate can move all the way forward but it stops less than an inch from the back.
I can't see anything hitting. What steps should i try to find the issue?

Does your y carriage move freely?
If not:
Is rhe printer in normal mode or stealth?
Use normal mode for calibration.
Cable ties may be catching. (The ends have been trimmed after fitting havent they)
Y belt may be too tight
Y belt drive wheel may be incorrectly aligned.
Y belt drive wheel may be loose on motor shaft
Y belt idler bearing bolt may be overtightened causing idler to bind
Y axis cabling. Heatbed and thermistor may be too short. Causing drag
Y axis bearings may be incorrectly installed (did you align balls as shown in the diagrams?) Bearings may be faulty
Possibly a conbination of above...
Possibly something else...
Heatbed Screw heads may be hitting frame
Y Motor may be faulty.

I believe it was an issue with the cables.
