Screen turns on then off
I just unboxed and setup my preassembled mk3. When I power it on the screen turns on long enough for me to barely read "Original Prusa ..." and then shuts off. No noise. No response from buttons. Nothing. 😯
Any ideas?

As nobody else has chipped in...
Firstly, whilst I've not yet received my MK3 - I have built a K8400 Vertex. My logical fault finding routine would go something like this...
If you have a multimeter and some confidence in using it... I would check out...
• Are you getting 24V DC to the Einsy board?
• Are the cables the right way around for the LCD display?

• Have you got the daughterboard on your EINSY for the LCD and if so, is it connected to the EINSY ok?
• Has the LCD cable been snagged or caught on anything to damage it?
If you've checked out all that and still no joy, I would ask PR. Apparently they're quite good on live chat.

Is it dead since or does this happen every time you power it up?

If the backlight is on, but you can’t see anything, the problem may be contrast setting. The back of the lcd controller has a tiny dial to change contrast.

Isn't there a variable resistor? Seems to me that for R1 there are two places to fit in, a large one ("real" potentioneter) and a small one ("trimmer").
In your picture there seems the small one to be equipped - it is labelled "R1", just as the free space. So either one should work.
