Scaling needed when printing mk3 parts in ABS?
I'm going to print parts except the x-carriage (I know it needs to be black) in ABS. Partially because I have a roll of Prusa EasyABS already in the correct orange color, and the the mk3 upgrade kit I'm getting is still listed as coming with ABS filament anyhow.
My question is, are the supplied .stl files for mk3 printer parts sized for PETG? Do they need to be scaled up slightly to allow for ABS shrinkage? If so, how much? I've heard 1.5% shrinkage for ABS.

I guess the folks in the Prusa factory would have the best idea about this but I would probably just print it as is. Most of the parts probably have that much tolerance anyway.
Your theory is sound though, and I can't imagine it would hurt to scale parts by a percent or two.
Perhaps print a Z top part first and check it against the holes in the frame?

Hi Tom!
I plan to print the MK3 in easy ABS as well - currently I think and hope that the do not need scaling. How did it turn out for you? Did yo need to scale them?
