Replacing E-Axis parts

So, I need to replace some parts after an overnight printing disaster.

I'm not able to free the hotend from the blob, and in my attempts, I melted the "extruder-body" and "x-carriage-back" parts.

Two questions:
* What do I need to purchase to replace the hotend? Will the MK2 assembled hotend work? https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/mk2-spare-parts/120-e3d-v61-assembled-hotend.html . This is for a MK3.
* What print settings (layer width and infill) should I use to print the replacement parts? Could I use PETG or must it be ABS?

Thanks!

Re: Replacing E-Axis parts

Did you ask Prusa support ? they will help you at lerast witjh the hotend parts.

For the parts around the hotend i would recommend ABS but i think PETG should also work.

Yeah, I have an email in to them as well, but response time seems to be 2-3 days per email, so I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I'm excited to get my MK3 working again. 🙂

I'll do a 40% infill, 0.35mm version print and see if that looks right..

For others that might be in my position...

Support said to order the MK2 e3d v6, and put in the order comments that I want a "MK3 Heatbreak".

I found a post saying Prusa uses PET for printed parts, so I'm printing the replacement parts I need in black PET. 0.2mm layer thickness, 40% infill.

I briefly checked the differences between mk2 and mk3 extruder bodies, practically you need to print the carriage as the mounting screws are off, make adjustments to the firmware for the probe posision

0.35mm is to much for a 0.4mm nozzle.
