Re: Raspberry Pi & Camera Mount

Is it wise to mount camera to bed? Bed can move pretty fast in some cases, i think that cable won't last long... Isn't it better to fix it somewhere where it won't move?

I used similar mount on MK2 for more than year without any problems. It is actually common practice. Due to fixed distance between printed object and camera, video is much clearer, and you can even make time lapses.
With object moving fast with heatbed and camera mounted somewhere else you can barely see anything at all. Also 1 meter length cable is less than 2 USD - in case it actually fail one day.
