Printing PETG for first time

I have been holding off in trying to print PETG until the new printer plates became available to order for the MK3 printers. I am thinking I will go ahaad and give it a try, so my question is what should I do to print PETG for the first time? In reading the forum, and the manual, I am guessing there are a few things I need to do.

1. Adjust the "Live Z" to bring it up from the setting used with PLA filament, to prevent it from being squished into the plate.

2. Wipe the build plate down with Windex to prevent it from sticking too strongly and damaging the build plate (or use glue stick).

Are there any other settings I need to consider? I have a spool of Hatchbox Orange PETG and a spool of PRILINE PETG in black. I was planning on printing the extruder parts in black, like the Prusa MK3 Filament Sensor Cover on thingiverse, and the Prusa i3 MK3 - Cooling with a view, again on thingiverse. The Orange I was planning on printing out most other parts of the new R2 or DreamBox parts, like the Prusa I3 MK3 Y axis Adjustable Belt Tensioner, and other items.

Are there any other things I need to do to do this, or am I just being scared of the PETG for no reason? Any profiles for PETG I should use (I use Simplify3D)? Any assistance or tips/tricks/suggestion are welcomed!

You çoulď slow the first layer speed
Make it moŕe likely to stay on thè bed.
Wàtch out for over èxtrusion
It causes a build up on the nozzle

Thanks, nothing else I should do then? Windex wiped on the sheet will keep it from sticking too much to cause it to tear the PEI sheet? I am still a bit scared to try this without having replacement build plates on hand, but getting tired of waiting on them.

I'm going to use a 3d print bed surface thing... which is some kind of glue... Windex is a bit on the "thin" side...

If I could replace the spring sheet, I would use windex because it's super easy, looks nice, no mess, etc.

But in these dark times, desperate measures are needed.

As the PEI sheet 'wears in', I found just windex alone was not enough. I now will only use glue stick for PEI jobs, especially the Filamentum CPE HG 100 (I print this at 270 & 75, so really need bed protection).

If you find a print sticking too much (despite the windex) there was a suggestion in the forum of wetting the edge of the part with ispropyl alcohol, it kinda creeps under the part and helps release it. I used this trick to get hot-glue off the PEI-sheet (even putting the sheet in the freezer hadn't helped), it came off quickly.
I started using PETG quite early, and have used only window cleaner for most of the time. Worked very well so far, all the PEI is still on the springsteel plate
