Print fan minimum speed issue?

I've been printing more challenging materials which are supposed to have 30% cooling. I've noticed the fan is not working.

From a speed of 0, I manually turned up the print fan speed until it started spinning. It did not activate until 50%. Is this what everyone else gets? Can you check?

Hi Phr0ze,

Never really checked this out.

Starting at low speeds is a hit and miss issue.

Simplify3D offers an option to 'Blip' the fan to 100% on starting from zero,to kick the fan into motion,

it may be that Slic3r does this too, as I have never noticed a problem with Slow Fan Speeds

Joan,

I'm still playing with this. It appears to be hit or miss below 50, Started at 10% and stepped up 10 at a time.. I played with my Mk2S and the fan comes on fine at 10%.

Normally this isn't a problem but I'm using Prusa presets in slic3r and they don't seem to compensate at all. So all my advanced materials are failing. I'm going to play with the settings but it sucks to have to adjust all of them. I assume the settings on the MK2S were just fine but they were never adjusted/tested on Mk3 fan.
