Re: PETG not sticking to PEI sheet...
I started giving the bed a good physical rub with a rough paper cloth and acetone when changing from PLA to PETG. I did this after noticing an imprint of the previous PLA print on the underside of a PETG print. I cleaned the bed but it seems the PLA still left a thin coating on the PEI.
From my previous experience of having PLA mix with PETG due to leftovers in the nozzle I can confirm that PETG and PLA are not compatible and as a result it's likely they won't bond together either.
Between PETG prints I just use my hands to wipe the dust off the bed before printing. Love the stuff for this reason as it takes out a lot of the fuss.
Re: PETG not sticking to PEI sheet...
I have Black PETG that works amazing, then white that is okay, and I can't seem to get orange to stick. The Red is a problem. Funny how each color is different. Thanks for all the insight. I am learning a bunch.
Re: PETG not sticking to PEI sheet...
I am in totally agreement. I messed with the live Z adjust and found my PLA to be 632 and my PETG ORANGE to be at 695. Prints perfect now. My BLACK prints perfect at 632. Go figure.
Re: PETG not sticking to PEI sheet...
So I was having a similar problem with Orange Prusament PETG on the first layer. The layer was not sticking very well at all. Tried Z adjust to no effect. Then Changed the first layer temp from 85 to 90 and slowed the first layer from 20 mm/s to 5 mm/s. Now getting perfect prints that are a bit hard to separate from the board. This was without cleaning with IPA or Acetone.
Re: PETG not sticking to PEI sheet...
It is funny how each person has different results Moy Prusament Orange sticks too much.
