Newbie here printer is printing 1/4"off bed. Why?

Hello all! I am new here and got my MK3 today. Everything calibrated fine the test pieces fom the supplied g codes worked great. But when I go to print an original file I created it looks great in slicer and the printer does that first short strip outside the design fine. But the starts extruding the design a 1/4"off the print bed, why is it thinking it should start there? Its almost like its trying to start at the top. Any suggestions? Im using the Prusa slicer program.

Thanks,
Erik

I'm still learning slicer, but do you have it oriented incorrectly?

If you are using PrusaControl make sure the “Place on bed” in your object settings is “on”.

I've attached a picture of where the Arrange button is.

If you are printing many objects and arrange is putting the part off the print bed, you can go to the "3D" tab at the bottom left, and drag the parts around. Make sure that the parts are completely within the grid. (And if you are using a brim, skirt, raft, or support structure, make sure that the generated material is also on the print grid.

I figured out it has something to do with me converting files from pdf to svg to stl the slicer will show the object perfect but when it slices it, its completely jacked. Anything I created directly in tinkercad works perfect. I do vinyl decals so the designs I want to use are in a vector format and the only way I found to make it usable is to export it as a pdf to corel then export it as an svg to tinkercad and then turn it to a stl file. Like I said the image is perfect looking in the plater screen in slicer but when you look at the layers its a mess. Any ideas on what could be causing the issue or perhaps a better way to convert my files.

Thanks for the input
Erik

Could you post some screenshots of this? I'm actually kinda curious on this. Slic3r is usually quite... stable.

I cant post a photo of the 2 files that didnt work because they are a clients logo.Maybe something got corrupt in the converting process. Ive printed 10 things since without a problem but ran into an issue on the 11th because the support setting was turned off. Once that was straightened out its been printing like a champ I love it.
