MK3 parts source (Motors)

So long story short I ordered the MK2/S to MK3 upgrade kit and quickly realized that you get 90% a full MK3 minus a few things. So I decided not to upgrade my MK2/S and just build a full MK3 and then have 2 printers. Now Prusa tells me I am better off sourcing the parts myself. That's fine, but I'm having trouble locating the motors.

So does anyone know a good source for the motors and motors with leadscrews.
Thank you in advance

Dale

Re: MK3 parts source (Motors)

I am actually very interested in what is said on this.

I know you can pull the shaft out of any "same sized" motor, and insert any "same sized" lead screw into it... I'm an expert. I saw it on youtube once.

Honestly I have no idea on this, and I am rather interested in this. I plan on making a Snappy RepRap 3.0.
Cause I think I can get better quality out of it than my mk3.
(no, not really... I printed a nearly perfect 10x10x10 cube earlier. And the measurements were crazy.)
side<->side 10.03mm
front<->back 10.04mm
top<->bottom 10.08mm
I'm guessing the "texture" from extrusion/layer-lines was about 0.005mm, given the "feel" from my past experience with metal-work.

Hi, I'm Sean. I used to work on CNC machines.
I try to not make mistakes, but the decision is YOURS.
Please feel free to donate to my filament/maintance fund.
