Already use the tabletop version, but this adds legs to attach them to the top of the frame... I like this design as the bearings make this very smooth.

Imho this product photo has been changed only very recently. Earlier it showed the black MK2S spool holder. So I guess that’s what they will ship.
The Noctua fan is still beige on the photo. Josef said in an interview that the release version will have black fan. I wonder about that....

well to be honest, as long as the fan is an improvement, I can deal with it being beige. black would be nice but the color is just aesthetics, it actually working is what is most important to me.

cannot fault you there. I had to do a double take because you are right and it does look rather grey does it not? hmm. I wonder if they will ever make it so that we can pick different colors for parts or printers?

I do not know if he is an employe at Prusa Research, but I found this on reddit:

So there might be some MK3s shipping with beige noctua. I would rather wait a week longer:-) But not many weeks so I'll see what I get...

I personally couldn't care less about its colour, it could be glow in the dark pink with glitter for all I care as long as it is quiet and moves air.

If I hadn’t read this I wouldn’t have ever noticed a difference in fan colors let alone think it’s a bad thing. I guess I’m just easy that way. If you guys are reading this feel free to send me any color fan you want as long as it functions as it’s designed to . I’ve also pondered dropping a line to let them know they can keep their tools as I’ll likely just bin them.

My guess is they're 10mm and 13 mm, I already have several of each in the tool box, though bin isn't the right word, they're certain to end up in the donate box...

the MK3 no longer has the threaded rods & nuts, so no need for wrenches 😉

Printing it with PLA was not such a good idea while using ABS later on. Too warm while printing the ABS parts, the weight of the spool let it bend down.
But the next one, printed with ABS then, is working fine during many many prints, up to now.

If anyone has watched the latest few episodes from 3D Printing Nerd, he has a new office/studio and the Prusa on the far right has a similar spool holder. I thought at first it was a MK3, but then I realized its just the signed MK2... psych out.

When I saw the MK3 filament holder, I wanted one for my MK2S, as it it is easier and cool.
