Losing steps

Despite everything looking good, I am sporadically losing steps in X and Y direction.
I have tightend the belts, checked all pulleys, performed the "block stepper and create belt wave"-test.
Printing in normal, not stealth mode.

What else to check if not belts and pulleys? Check the images provided below. The first shows lost steps in the X direction, the second in the Y direction.

Re: Losing steps

Your issue looks more like layer shift. Search the forum, much has been written on this in the last few firmware versions. Myself I believe it is being caused by crash detect - since I disabled this I have not had a single shift like this.

Re: Losing steps

Same problem here.

Firmware version 3.1.1-RC5-150

Not having this problem was one of the main reasons of buying the MK3, right now I am disappointed with what otherwise was excellent performance.

Disabling the crash-detection might help but only for future prints, on the other hand, it also will mean to say goodbye to any chance at the printer catching and fixing any layer shift detected 🙁
