I just got one of the million 2.5W packages off ebay. Though, as I suspected, it’s a 1.6W so I’m working with seller. Anyway, get one with ttl input so you can vary the intensity.

That is fantastic! I would like to see a few projects that you've done with this mod. It looks clean and neat and compliments the great MK3 printer.
I'm not going to try it yet because I've been printing 24/7 since I first assembled the kit at Christmas and have more than a month left of full time printing. I've had one MK3 failure (a fan) so I'd worry that my mod would bother the stability of the basic machine.

Sure. You can see the info on the pdf. Laser came from eBay. I got the Drok and Robotdyn boards from amazon, and paid price premium because I was impatient. You can get stuff cheaper elsewhere, like banggood or even direct from robotdyn. I picked up misc connectors and rocker switch at Frys, sheet steel at Home Depot. Also einsy connectors from Ultimachine.

Ah that’s my fault. I should’ve checked the download for the file. I’m gonna do a bunch of research on this before I do anything. Seems like a really useful add on. Thanks for your work.

Interesting upgrade... I was looking at a full scale setup at the Maker Faire we had earlier.
