First Prints, Marvin Issues

I received my kit 2 days ago, assembled it without issues thanks to the clear documentation.

I runned the Calibration wizard and adjusted the Z height to what I am thinking looks good (I bit tricky to really now what is good or not as it is so small)

I printed the prusa logo from the sd card It looks good to me (see the attached pictures)

I then tried to print the Marvin from the sd card and I see some strange defects (don't know how to call it)
I tried to slice the model through prusa control (0.1mm) and print it again but it looks like the defects are still here.
If you look at the "underbelly", and the "eyebrows" there is some sort of overextrusion. But it does not appears in other parts of the model.

Any idea what could cause this effect?
I am printing with the silver pla provided with the printer.

Re: First Prints, Marvin Issues

Hello Olivier,

I have also received the kit some days ago.
Building the Printer was super fun and everything went perfect in calibration too.
Sadly I can't help you but I have pretty much the same Issue with Marvin.
Since it's a presliced model on the SD I expected it to be like really clean. Well it isn't.
I also noticed the printing time is far off the predicted. First print was the whistle (which looked georgeous except the inner top layers) and should take 25min. according to the file name and 20min. according to what is written here: https://www.prusa3d.com/printable-3d-models .
Well, it took at least 45min in normal mode at 100% speed. Like am I missing something?

Also noticed the print quality especially at corners isn't good. Wondering if LA is enabled in 3.1.3? Does anyone know?
I'm just really disappointed with the quality of prints... 🙁

LA is not active in 3_1_3. I see noticeable degradation in quality if I print anything below .15 layer height. I don’t know if it has anything to do with LA or not, I just stopped trying to print at .05 or .1 for now.

I found I have the same issue on overhangs on the benchy.
Some people online are suggesting to print the infill first then the perimeters, so I gave it a try on the marvin and slic3r.

Here are the results, it seems all the defects from the previous prints are gone now.
