Filament Sensor Error

First try printing 'solid black opaque' PETG on the MK3 and the filament sensor gave a false positive (or false negative? whatever) while printing.

With the filament still loaded the filament sensor will fail to sense it is still there, and then ask me to unload and reload the extruder.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a workaround?

Prusa prints a lot of black PETG, how do they get around this? Is the filament I'm using partly to blame? Would filament like this or this that don't have the work 'opaque ' in the color fix the problem?

Re: Filament Sensor Error

Some filaments aren't detected well by the sensor. Black PETG is famous for tripping the sensor when it shouldn't.

Turn off the filament sensor when printing with the troublesome filaments.
