Filament placement
I'm setting up a place for my ordered MK3, but i'm also planning to get the MMU upgrade.
In the pictures it shows that the filament must be placed behind the printer instead of above.
Does anyone have some measurements on how much space that setup needs depth wise?
If an enclosure is planned for the printer which volume is needed to avoid overheating issues?
Re: Filament placement
I have my filament on a shelf. The short ptfe off the filament roller goes through the shelf and then i use another length of ptfe to direct the filament to the extruders. I have put pictures on here twice before. But dont have access to them at the moment.

Re: Filament placement
pictures of filament above printer
the short ptfe through the shelf is aligned with the back of the filament roll. it is not fastened to the additional piece of ptfe tube which guides the filament into the extruder... when the extruder back feeds to change material, a gap opens up between the ptfe tubes rather than pushing the filament through to the reel,as you can see with the red filament in the top picture.
hope this helps. regards Joan
